Kruti Mehta, PhD, graduated from Life Science at the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, India. Her research work focused on altered glycosylation transcriptome in oral carcinoma and its association with tobacco habit. She has also worked on several natural compounds to use as remedies. Dr. Metha has ample expertise in multi-disciplinary fields including Biochemistry (Bachelor’s), Biomedical technology (Master’s), Reproductive toxicology (M.Phil.), Molecular Biology and Cancer Biology (PhD) during her academic career, making her self-sufficient to work independently on scientific research investigations. Apart from her PhD work, she has also been involved in several molecular tests for blood, lung and brain cancers and has aided in many research projects on pancreatic, cervical, oropharyngeal and breast cancer, which honed her skills in various molecular and cell culture techniques. Most recently, she has worked as a lead in commencement of set-up for molecular testing of Coronavirus in Gujarat, India. Dr. Mehta is thrilled to shifting her focus to psychoneuroimmunology and perinatal mental health as she joins the PIPPI Lab.
