Trained as a developmental scientist with expertise in data science, Dr. Voegtline’s research bridges developmental and data-driven approaches to understanding perinatal health. She received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in quantitative methodology, from The Pennsylvania State University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Supported by a K99/R00 award from NICHD, she transitioned to the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine faculty before joining Weill Cornell Medicine in 2024. Dr. Voegtline’s research centers on the physiology of pregnancy, the maternal-fetal relationship, and fetal neurodevelopment. She is co-Principal Investigator for the PIPPI Lab ADIR study along with Dr. Lauren Osborne, and co-Investigator for NY-CHAMP. Dr. Voegtline also serves as the Data Scientist and Lead Analyst for the Ob/Gyn Research Data Repository at Weill Cornell linking maternal health, pregnancy, labor and delivery, and birth outcome health records to support population-based studies of perinatal health.
